Japan Intervention Hinges on Yen Moves, Not Level, Gyohten Says (Bloomberg)

Feb. 5 (Bloomberg) — Japan will consider intervening in the currency market based on the pace of the yen’s appreciation as opposed to the level at which it trades, a former Finance Ministry official said.
